Iain started on Radio Saltire with my fiancé Gillian, after being invited to watch the magic happen in the studio. He was encouraged to introduce songs and now it’s his favourite time of the week. We love finding songs that haven’t been heard for ages but bring back memories. 

Outwith Radio Saltire, Iain plays guitar professionally in various bands, usually with the Lockhearts.

His musical tastes are varied; from punk to the Carpenters and everything in between and beyond!

His pet peeve is definitely drivers who hog the middle and outside lanes.
