CALUM STEWART
You’ll find Calum Stewart on Radio Saltire, where he’s been presenting since 2023. He first stepped behind a community radio mic in 2013. His shows focus on music that earns its place. If a track has heart, craft or a hook that sticks with you, it makes the cut. If it’s only getting attention because it’s trendy, it won’t last long. You get straight chat, steady pace, and tunes chosen because they sound good in your ears, not on a playlist chart.

Calum recently retired from Preston Lodge High School after nearly 32 years, most of that as Deputy Head Teacher. Years of working with young people and families shaped a practical, calm way of speaking and a habit of listening before talking.

Away from radio, Calum goes to gigs, walks, cycles and works through a steady queue of music and podcasts. His taste stretches across genres, with a soft spot for Scottish and Irish artists, folk, acoustic music and local talent. He enjoys being pointed toward something new, and he’s always up for expanding what he listens to. If you have a track you rate, he wants to hear it.

Calum currently presents the Thursday Drivetime Show, every Thursday 2-6pm.
