CLAYTON P
Clayton started his DJ career with Jimmy Rainbow’s Rainbow Heart Discotheque in the clubs and pubs all over Scotland including Annabel’s, back in the mid 70’s. He moved to Newcastle to the once famous Tuxedo Junction on Market Street where he performed his unique style of presenting to a Jazz-Funk and R&B audience.
He left Newcastle in the 80’s to seek his fortune in the States where he eventually worked part time as a radio presenter on a radio station in Annapolis, Maryland playing music on a Saturday night.
Arriving back later to the UK he thought he had left the music scene behind him only to meet up again with Jimmy Rainbow sometime later and was invited to join a local Edinburgh community station called Leith FM in 2009. He had a regular feature slot called Soul Stream and left there in 2014.
He later joined another community radio station based in Haddington and continued his weekly Saturday night show ‘Soul Stream International’, playing the absolute best in Soul, Reggae and Jazz Funk. With such artists as George Benson to Blackstreet, from Black Coffee to Black Eyed Peas, and from Bob Marley to Hil St Soul.
He took a short break from broadcasting and after a few years with Black Diamond FM and then with Edinburgh’s Mix1 Radio. He has recently started with Radio Saltire FM with Soul Stream International and Clayton P’s Muis Mix. Radio Saltire gives him the opportunity to promote his brand of music worldwide and to a likeminded audience.
He has built a popular listener’s base both domestic and internationally and hopes to bring surprises as well as a slightly different approach to the music scene.
He is into Soul and Jazz, loves music by Luis Radio, George Benson, and many others.

Clayton has 2 shows, Soul Stream International every Wednesday Evening 8-10pm & The Music Mix every Sunday Afternoon 1-3pm.
