AL YOUNG

Al started with Radio Saltire in February 2023 following many years involved with European community radio and hospital radio stations.

Favourite artists include Genesis and Rick Wakeman.

He has a bunch of experience in the music industry, even managed Scotland’s only all girl band way back in the past(!) and has recently returned to composing and releasing music with his first single released February 2025. Al’s other passions and experience include competing in European motorsport, from racing to rallying.

Al currently presents Monday Brunch from 10:00 to 12:00 every Monday with music spanning five decades but all with an upbeat theme to get your week off to a flying start! He also presents the 12 O'clock Rock Show every Monday with the very best in rock for an hour!
