This weekend saw the return of the UK’s largest touring food, drink, and wellbeing festival to Inverleith Park in Edinburgh. The Foodies Festival - a three-day event that whipped up gourmet indulgence and mouth-watering masterclasses from some of the most talented chefs from across the UK, including previous MasterChef winners and finalists, like Tom Rhodes and Sarah Rankin, as well as delicious international street food.

The Foodies Festival buzzed and blazed with the warmth of a fun family and dog friendly atmosphere.

The masterclasses proved very popular – from Ninjas Love Noodles themed cookery class in the Kids Cookery Theatre to the World’s Best Battenberg in the Cake & Bake Theatre, with an added splash of Drag Queen Wine Tasting with Vanity von Glow and Beth Brickenden in the Drinks Theatre.

If that wasn’t enough, there were chilli-eating competitions that delivered even more heat to the Edinburgh crowd, whilst we also enjoyed fantastic live music performances from local bands and artists as well as headliners N-Trance and Callum Beattie.

In amongst all the international grub, I was pleased to find quite a few local businesses and produce exhibiting and was doubly pleased to hear that the Foodies Festival has helped to launch many more local businesses over the years too. Here’s a little taster of this weekend’s Foodies Festival.
